What You Need to Know to Participate
(1 of 2)
Introduction (IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ)
This section is to explain what you will expect
at a tournament. Before reading further, keep in mind that this advice is coming from my own
personal experience. I am not an official Duelist King Tournament judge. I am
just another duelist just like you who is eager to learn and be a better
duelist. So, whether you take my advice or not is up to you. I am not
responsible if the advice I give does not help you.

be a link that takes you to a 'Tournament Locator'. This will help you find all stores that hold official Yugioh! Tournaments
nearest you.
Before entering an official Yugioh! Tournament, you need to register for a Duelist ID. To get one,
following this link:

Registering for a Duelist ID is absolutely free & this webpage explains the benefits of having a Duelist ID. Once
you have your Duelist ID, you can participate in any store that holds official Yugioh! Tournaments. If you are not
comfortable registering online, find a store that holds official Yugioh! Tournaments and ask your questions there. Some
stores help you register for a Duelist ID.
What do you mean certain cards are 'Tournament Legal'?
Japanese, Asian-English and Counterfeit cards are not legal for use in Official
Tournaments. The English print God cards are also not legal tournament play. Also, certain English cards are limited to one or two
in a Deck. (see Forbidden/Limited Cards)
